Our friends from DNA Collectibles challenged us today, again, offering us some interesting subjects for our next detailed reviews. And of course we take it, immediately, without any hesitation. As you know, if you are one of our article's followers, the limit was broken last year when always with their help and courtesy, we reviewed here our first 1:43 model. We can only hope that we did a good job back then and here we are today with a new and unique 1:43 model ready to be discovered. Our special guest, an Audi S4, the B5 generation to be more precise, was never replicated in scale and belongs to a limited edition of 320 pieces, every single model being individually numbered. The model is delivered with extra foam protection, the traditional microfiber bag and a fancy display case, more than helpful when you'll want to display your model quickly and without extra costs.
Even the fog lamps and the turn signals were developed as single pieces and this fact brings a lot of value to our little replica. I like the photo etched emblems, embodying the logos or the window's frame on every side and a big plus goes to the very delicate screen wipers, separate pieces, as well.
The S-line wheels are following the original design, and are the result of a great craftsmanship, easy to realize only when you will take a look to the central cap, well put in evidence and detailed with the four rings logo. Quite impressive job for the piece size! The brake system is visible, and the shiny plastic of the discs give the impression of a metallic finishing, very realistic in the end. The wheels don't spin, but you can enjoy the tires with a real looking profile. Underneath, I'm pleasantly surprised to see all the suspension and exhaust details molded on the base for a closer realism to the true car and the final exhaust, a separate piece and very nice finished in the same metallic look alike plastic.
The interior doesn't miss anything, even not easy to be observed- the sun roof is very helpful here, and the two tone seats came in perfect contrast with the exterior color. The details goes further, I'm impressed by the looking of the classic S-line steering wheel- with the S badge put in the right place and visible and just imagine, the indicators are legible and keep the right dark red color for the computer's display. All the interior pieces are great finished and the quality is the same as for the 1:18 scale.
At the end of this review, I can only say that our little guest, passed the test successfully! Is made with the same dedication and attention to every single detail as every DNA's product. Now the model is ready to be part of your collection and you can have yours on www.dnacollectibles.com
