I just can't go over after the photo shooting, without reviewing this model, because I think the Lamborghini Centenario from Autoart deserves its own review in our article collection. It's not a recent release, but never too late to take a closer look, since this model joined the collection at the end of the last year.
We have a composite model, light, but beautiful detailed outside, pretending a Signature level, even if Autoart didn't use this nomination anymore. The model has a complicated design, especially on the rear side, but Autoart managed to replicate it successfully. In the same way, the combination between the painted panels and the carbon fiber ones is really well made, both textures looking amazing. A big positive vote for the carbon pattern, great job here, much better than the naked carbon version, where the pattern is out of scale, being the reason why I chose this one. The gaps between parts are normal and I need to say the model has a lot of functional parts. |
The most interesting manufacture details are the pieces where the carbon fiber intersects the paint, some of them very thin, just see the front pillars, the front spoiler or the sills and they managed very well to replicate this contrast, with a great looking result. On the front and the rear enormous air diffuser, the carbon pattern is continuing under the car, as well. The lights are looking decent, nothing notable here, at least for the front ones, since on the rear, they have minimal dimensions. What I like again, are the badges, very realistic and accurate individual parts.
The wheels are successfuly brought to scale and very detailed, the combination between carbon and alloy is very accurate, together with some fine details like the molded rivet heads, the central lug nut and the Lamborghini emblem in the middle. Great job for the brake system, too, which is entirely visible and correct done.

Regarding the functional parts, the front bonnet works on true looking hinges, as long the engine cover is completely detachable and well kept in place by some magnets. The front cover is easy to open, using the tool included in the package, but not easy to close. When closing you need to push it up and press when is in place to align it with the rest of the body. Seems that the composite creates some trouble here, this problem being usual on many models, unfortunately. The plastic under the front bonnet keeps some molding signs and it looks quite cheap, I have no idea is there must be a carbon replica, since I didn't find photos with the real deal. The minimalist storage place is carpeted and try to save the situation here somehow.
On the other hand, after taking off the engine cover, the ensemble down there it looks good and detailed enough to give a good impression. Big up for the suspension, maybe a different colour for the coils wasn't a bad idea. The only fact that disturb me are the visible glue points that keep in place the window between cockpit and the engine. This time the cover went in place simply and smooth. The model provides a functional spoiler on the rear, that can be raised and lower manually and I hardly miss the presence of a mechanism that pops up it up, especially for this money.

I always hated the opening door mechanism on the Autoart's Lamborghini and I can't see any reason to keep it on every new model, the pop up spoiler would be more appreciate for my taste. The interior is good detailed, especially the central console, I like the seats made of a different plastic to give the Alcantara look, mentioning that in the past this effect was way better, the carpeted floor and the photo etched Lamborghini script on the dash. I don't like at all the moulded plastic on the door panels and dash trying to replicate the carbon pattern. After that glorious pattern outside, isn't possible to see such a poor representation in places where the detailing is very important. Autoart should think seriously at this aspect.

In the end I can say that I enjoyed the model a lot during the photo shooting, is a very good looking piece, with few, but important lacks in the essential places. With the prices growing, there must be a development in detailing, too, this Autoart must understand, especially now when the competition gives better options for their products.
