This model belongs to an old Millenium series, but surprising comes with good details and finish. Looking at it I can’t understand why I payed for it, like for 2 Maisto models. We have a good paint and extraordinary chrome line, some photo-etched badges and a high representation of optical parts. The bonnet and the trunk are opening using a fine replica of the real hinges. We find carpet in the trunk and a real good engine replica under the bonnet. All the pieces are individual made, painted and wired. This awesome job is completed by some labels representing some technical data. All the 4 doors can be opened and bring out, the interior very well done. The wood imitation covered all the dash board and looks very real. The same thing for the steering wheel. We have carpet and like they usually done, being masters working with plastic, the seats are covered with a textured material looking almost like a textile one. This fact and the bi-color tint gave a great effect to the interior. Speaking first about the steering wheel must say the excellent replica of wood is completed by the great photo-etched metallic spokes. I like very much the BMW’s models of that decade and AutoArt have managed to came out with a real very good model of the 1800. The age of this model can’t be see looking at his development, even if it had come on market one year ago, I think the details and manufacturing were the same.
